The Essence of Balance

Published by Vanessa Brunner under Stores, Uncategorized

This weekend, I decided to wander into Clary Sage Organics, in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. This store had been recommended to me by some friends at Nau, and I decided to finally take a peek inside.

Great stuff. Not only does the store have a wonderful supply of some really beautiful and organic clothing lines (such as Nau, Prairie Underground, and Edun), but they also have a fantastic display of organic beauty and bath supplies–mostly by local companies.

I fell in love with Nectar Essences, a line of aromatics that is based out of the San Francisco Area. Founded in 2007 by Jenny Pao, a Holistic Healing Practitioner who specializes in Flower Essence Therapy, Nectar Essences was borne out of Pao’s custom formulas for her clients, meant to create emotional and mental balance. For Pao, health and “wellness” begins with a balance of they body and the mind–emotions and health are so closely intertwined. Flower essences and aromatheraphy really help harmonize the two.

These time tested remedies come in convenient 50 ml spray bottles, in several different formulas (such as De-Stress, Balance, Sleep, and Awake). It makes it easy to carry around in your purse, spray, and inhale–whenever you need to relax or be rejuvenated.

Besides these pre-made formulas, Pao also offers flower essence consultations through Clary Sage Organics. If a client comes in and is incredibly stressed, tired, or going through a difficult transition in life, Pao creates a custom formula to help them achieve balance and relaxation.

I really recommend checking them out! I love Pao’s underlying philosophy. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about what she does. Her goal is to simply help every person she comes in contact with to feel better.
