Fall (Eco) Fashion Finds: part 2 |
Published by Vanessa Brunner under Clothing
Even more beautiful and luxurious finds for fall…
Even if you can’t afford some of these, if you’re like me, you’ll love to look. (Plus, they’re great for fashion inspiration!)
Grandpa Sweater Tunic
Feral Childe
A line “raised by wolves,” Feral Childe derives its name from its wild and playful clothes, with a less than organized design technique, all of which result in unique interpretations of classic styles with childlike twists.
This tunic is a fitted dress, made of cotton with a lycra blend. , with a accented collar detail and pockets. Feral Childe is Brooklyn-based and locally produced in New York City. Everything from the original textile prints, which are silk screened, to the sewing and finishing of the products is done in New York
Hemara Handbag
Bobelle
A classic everyday bag, Bobelle’s Hemara bag is handmade from eel skin leather and hand dyed. Eel skin leather is a by-product of the food industry in Asia, and the skin is routinely thrown out. The leather is extremely soft, and gets even softer with use.
V Neck Blouse
Jackston, Johnston & Roe
The perfect work blouse for fall, Jackston, Johnson & Roe’s V Neck Shirt is soft and airy in an organic cotton and peace silk blend. The shirt has a v neckline, a removeable tie belt, and hits about mid hip. Although it’s also available in a luscious emerald green, I love it in the line’s “Corpse” print.
Flutter Skirt
Prairie Underground
A great work skirt, or just for taking an autumn stroll, this skirt is a great reinvented classic. Made of 100% organic cotton, this skirt has an elastic waist, front pockets, and adorable flutter detailing on the front. Available in red, black, and grey.
Medium Leather Fold Over Zip Clutch
Rani Jones
Made from the finest quality chrome free leather, this punk rock/ everyday clutch features a double zip detail, an inside zip pocket, and a 62% hemp and 38% cotton lining. Basic sizing (32 cm by 20 cm) makes it a great accessory for a night out. Each piece is hand made to order.

As a emerging fashion designer in keeping with my Indian tradition have moved to exclusively working with sustainable organic silks which highlights my commitment to quality authenticity and grace.
There should be a shift to sustainable and chic clothing and I support any such change to that effect.
