Fall (Eco) Fashion Finds: part 1 |
Published by Vanessa Brunner under Clothing
Fall is my favorite fashion season. It’s still warm enough to wear dresses, but crisp enough to start piling on luxurious coats, hats and scarves.
Here are a few of my latest obsessions…
Jordan Dress
Doucette Duvall
Fall 2009 collection
A great classic and ladylike dress that can be dressed up or down with flats, heels or boots. It would be gorgeous with some high heeled mary janes and a vintage clutch.
Based in NYC, Doucette Duval practices environmental and social responsibility by creating their clothes with pre-existing fabric and trim, eliminating extraneous garment bags, and shipping in recycled boxes only. A portion of proceeds from their “lgd” (little green dress) items are donated to the non-profit, Build It Green.
Blossom Lace Earrings
White Owl
Etsy
This Etsy shop sells tons of gorgeous, handmade jewelry made from hand dyed reclaimed lace. Their bib necklaces are a huge hit, but I fell in love with these Blossom Lace earrings in this elegant, deep purple.
Balance Heels
Olsenhaus
Fall 2009 collection
Olsenhaus, the go-to for any vegan shoe lover, is known for its clean and crisp shoes that retain a modern sillouhette. The “Balance” style is made with faux suede, and is shown here in black with a citron heel (my personal favorite—I love that pop of color). These are the perfect pair of strong and structural heels for the fall. Great with a bright mod cocktail dress for a night out!
Komodo
Cocoon Coat
The ultimate coat in eco-chic, this coat has everything you want in a classic fall jacket. Komodo’s Cocoon coat is a brown tweed blend of acrylic and wool. Knee length, the coat features a satin lining and hand carved leaf motif buttons.
Komodo, which is based in the UK, works entirely with eco-friendly materials and follows a strong philosophy of ethical business and social responsibility.
Black Leather Crop Jacket
TRAIDremade
This mini leather crop jacket, from the UK’s TRAIDremade boutique, had adorable cap sleeves to soften its punk rock look and exposed zipper. Made entirely from super soft recycled leather, this jacket is part of a Fashion Conscience collaboration with TRAIDremade.

There are so many great finds here I don’t know how to choose. That mini jacket is definitely something I’d like. I liked your blog v. much. I’m also covering eco design, would you like to exchange links?
All the best!
