Len-Tex Wallcovering Earns Cradle to Cradle Certification

North Walpole, NH — Len-Tex Corporation announced today that the entire line of its Surface non-vinyl wallcovering has earned the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certification at the Silver tier for healthy and sustainable product design from McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC). Surface iQ is the only printed commercial grade wallcovering to have earned this certification.

California College of the Arts Launches the Summer Institute in Sustainable

Point Reyes and San Francisco, June 15-27, 2008

San Francisco, Calif., March 3, 2008–The Office of Special Programs at
California College of the Arts (CCA) has announced the launch of the Summer
Institute in Sustainable Design. This two-week immersion program enables
practicing professionals in design and other disciplines to come together to
learn about and discuss cutting-edge green strategies and their applications
in the realm of design. The first program in what will be an annual series takes
place June 15-27, 2008, in Point Reyes and San Francisco. Details are

State’s First Renovated Building Gets Green Designation

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Awards LEED® Silver Certification

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The California Department of General Services (DGS) announced today that the California Department of Rehabilitation’s headquarters in Sacramento has become the first State building to be awarded green building certification after undergoing a major renovation.

To mark the achievement, a USGBC plaque designating the Department of Rehabilitation Building as “LEED-New Construction Silver” (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) was unveiled today at the 721 Capitol Mall building during a ceremony for the building’s employees.
